Your RV fridge is a critical part of any trip. Fridge repairs can also be expensive, so keeping it clean and maintained is important. Here are some tips to keep your fridge in tip-top shape.

  • Cleaning – After every RV trip, defrost your fridge and freezer. Place towels in the bottom of the fridge to catch the water. Wash the inside out with warm water and dish soap, don’t forget to wash the seals. Make sure to dry thoroughly.
  • Storage – Keep your RV stored with the fridge doors open to prevent mildew. Put a box of baking soda in the fridge and freezer compartments to absorb odors. You can also fill your fridge with a crumpled newspaper over the winter to help absorb any extra moisture.
  • Maintenance – On a regular basis, open the access panel on the outside of the RV and vacuum out any dust or debris.

With these few simple steps, you will keep your RV fridge clean and functioning at its best.
