Job Purpose

  • The Detail Supervisor effectively communicates with customers and employees to determine type of service and time needed for completion. The Detail Supervisor is responsible for quality control and output of the detailing & wash departments. Also manages all necessary product inventory and equipment needed to perform the required duties

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Supervise and direct detailers
  • Manage employee attendance and vacation requests
  • Increase the efficiency and productivity of department
  • Train and coach employees on detailing duties
  • Monitored employee performance, inventory and supplies and order supplies as necessary.
  • Direct contact with outside Reps Ensure efficient workflow throughout the bays
  • Ensure proper usage, storage, labeling and inventory of cleaning agents and other cleaning supplies
  • Communicate with Service Advisor regarding detail services, repairs and estimates for time completion
  • Facilitates and performs all detailing department duties
  • Inspect the vehicles thoroughly after completion
  • Effectively schedule units and employees to jobs
  • Wash the units using various cleaning solutions, equipment and machines.
  • Detail sales units to enhance price and salability of unit
  • Will be required to participate in tractor training to assist in filling the bays
  • Follow all company policies and procedures including Health and Safety rules
  • Perform any other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing - must be able to clearly speak, read, and write in English.
  • Ability to manage, train and support other detailing personnel
  • Ability to analyze written and verbal instructions
  • Ability to write, present and respond to customers and staff members in a professional
  • Self-directed initiative, and able to apply one self.
  • Ability to work with limited supervision and able to see the job through.
  • High attention to detail and takes pride in their work.
  • Must be able to understand formulas in order to mix cleaning solutions, paints and other chemicals
  • High levels of manual dexterity and bodily coordination to perform an array of tasks.
  • Ability to work with a team and a willingness to learn.

Working Conditions

  • The Detailer typically works in shop environment within the facility where proper protective equipment is required. They may at times work outdoors and be exposed to extreme heat or cold.
  • There is some risk of injury involved in working with tools and near chemicals, although shop is well ventilated and well-lit. The shop can frequently be noisy or dirty.
  • Detailers may use different kinds of dyes, paints and waxes to protect the leather or fabric of vehicles. Some detailing jobs involve cleaning and removing any grease on engines or engine compartments.
  • May be required to lift and move heavy items, and able to sit, stand, walk, bend, twist, turn, stretch, kneel, and work in uncomfortable positions.
  • This job requires manual labour and strong attention to detail.
  • Some evening, weekend or holiday work may be required depending on the needs of the business.

Job Purpose

  • Recreation vehicle technicians examine, troubleshoot and diagnose units needing repair and maintenance. They install, repair and maintain interior and exterior components on motor homes, travel trailers, fifth wheel trailers, truck campers, tent trailers and van conversions.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Conduct repairs and maintenance to customers in Parks throughout Southern Ontario (Max. 4hr distances)
  • Installation of accessories; troubleshooting; reading and writing repair orders.
  • Repair and maintenance on propane gas and electric appliances such as furnaces, refrigerators, water heaters, ranges and air conditioners; repairs to fiberglass, body and structural components; and the ability to install, repair, replace and maintain roofs, siding, windows, doors, vents, awnings, floor coverings, cabinets, counters, plumbing systems, electrical systems, propane gas systems, batteries and charging systems.
  • May be required to install trailer and fifth wheel hitches, wire tow vehicles and perform maintenance and repairs on trailer frames, undercarriage and suspension.
  • Use testing equipment, troubleshooting techniques, manufacturers' specifications, and Internet websites to assist in locating faults and performing repairs.
  • Use computerized and electronic devices for testing components.
  • Communicate with supervisors to ensure timely, efficient and economical repairs.
  • Follow all company policies and procedures including Health and Safety rules and participate in all company and off-site training as required.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned.
  • May be required to move or assist moving units into service bays

Qualifications

  • 1-3 years’ experience in relatable field, including renovations, handyman etc.
  • Mechanical, electrical and electronics aptitude; troubleshooting and problem-solving capabilities.
  • High levels of manual dexterity and balance while working off the ground.
  • Strong communication, organizational and learning skills.
  • The ability to work independently and as a team member.
  • Basic knowledge and understanding of RV technical knowledge is an asset.
  • Able to lift up to 50lbs
