5 Tips to Booking Your Campsite this Season!

As the weather gets warmer and the trees begin to bud, it's a sure sign camping season is here. That being said, it's about time to start thinking about booking your campsite for the season.

Here are a five tips to keep in mind when booking a campsite:

Try something new.
Unless you have an annual tradition, it never hurts to try something new. Consider booking a campsite at a place you've never been before. If you're open to driving a little further, sometimes booking a few hours north might give you more options.

Do your research.
Determine where you wan to go, how far you want to drive and which parks have the amenities you're looking for. There's nothing worse than arriving at your park, setting up your campsite and finding out...it wasn't exactly what you envisioned it to be. Check out what each park offers in terms of amenities and if it has what you need during your stay. You may even want to see what the weather is like in the area - as that can sometimes determine whether or not you book for that specific time.

Narrow it down.
Now that you've done your research, you can take the time to narrow down your search. Pick a top 3 or top 5 parks you'd consider visiting over the camping season. If your first choice is booked, you have a back up park picked and so on.

Consider weekday trips.
We all know weekends are most popular when it comes to booking your campsite. But if you can make it work with your schedule, try booking your campsite during the week. You may even save a little money this way and to top it off, it may not be as busy as it is during the weekends - bonus!

Book early.
Don't leave it until last minute! If you're a true camper, you know that campsites (especially located in the most desired locations) can book up quickly! It's best to start your research early, figure out where you want to go and when you can go and booking for the entire season. this most importantly comes in handy when booking for the long weekends.- those are usually the first to go. So, book early!
